We finally decided on cakes, I'm thinking beach themed for the AHR and a little more modern for the destination wedding. To the left are ideas for Mexico, to the right are my AHR inspirations. The cake for Mexico will be the same design, but instead of black it will be turquoise. For the AHR cake on the right, the dots will be turquoise and the sea shells will be in shades of blue and green that match our scheme.
Grooms Cake
I ordered FI a grooms cake for our "Bon Voyage" party before we leave
for Mexico. I really wanted to get him one, but have the feeling we're
already going to have tons of leftover cake from the AHR so I felt a 2nd
cake would be way too much. Then FI and I decided to have a Bon Voyage
party, so we can pass out some important info regarding the trip and
their luggage tags, etc. So we're going to have the cake there. Only ours is going to have our monogram on the front, and the beer will be Corona in honor of our DW location!
